Hi Jimmy,

I would definitely recommend that your friend seek a RAID protected file system. Most likely this would involve 5x2TB drives in a RAID 5 to net out to 8TB of formatted capacity. The file count is quite large and any RAID rebuilds will take a long time - obviously there is no rebuild possible if this isn't done in a RAID.
