i do consume hemp protein, but have not eaten hemp hearts. hemp, in it's various forms has some good nutrients, protein, etc. the problem is the taste. it really tastes bad and needs to be covered up with something that tastes good. I don't know if the hemp hearts have this same issue or not though.

Salba is
White Chia seeds ... that have been grown under the strictest controls in the nutrient rich soil of Peru ... Basically the info you have provided matches their claims ... so it sounds like they may be the real deal.
As for the
Hemp Hearts, you really should try them! They are slow roasted, and have a taste very similar to walnuts! I love to eat them with peanut butter on toast, and sometimes even sprinkle some cinnamon on it too!
Having consumed my fair share of pot cookies/brownies as a kid, I was hesitant about the taste too, but I was REALLY pleasantly surprised!! They can very easily be eaten straight from the package with no masking agent!
