there's really no debate on the # of deaths daily. those are undisputed facts. it's also a fact, we had ZERO idea of the real impact of those bombs other than they were the latest and greatest weapons and used to end the war- period. and it's also a fact that was a real war, i.e. attack the civilians/cities. no smart bombs around. geneva convention rules only.
my comment regarding your view of the japanese was sarcasm as well.
it's easy to apply today's views to something that occurred almost 70 years ago, things have changed and it's not really accurate or fair to point fingers at the u.s. about dropping those bombs.
