You really need to stop thinking that everyone that opposes your view point is automatically a Republican, Conservative and or a supporter of the Tea Party...for the record im none of them.

Its not important now just like it wasn't then, the media attention of that story was a flash in the pan and went no where. Lincoln, Reagan, Roosevelt and Truman have all said such things in time of war and parrel about those they oppose. It not like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were religiously sanctioned military campaigns waged by
Christendom upon the citizens of those countries. One of the three founding principles of the county is religion, even people that opposed Bush knew it was a non issue considering all presidents speak openly about Faith.
