Thats a snook, that one was 26.5 inches, 7 pounds. Very regulated fish, it has to be a min of 26 inches to keep and no more than 34 inches, and the snook season closes June and re-opens in Sept.
I go hunting for redfish, snook, pompano, flounder and snapper.
I gave up women last year and took up fishing, and FM got me a little boat that I can manage myself, so its wonderful!
YOu freshwater fishing for bass? I love the sport :-)

How ironic is that?! Just last week I was in Ponce Inlet!! We rented a house there on the beach...a few houses past the stop sign on the left. The beach there is amazing!! The boys from the office took a guide/5 hr trip at the marina right there by the lighthouse. Coast guard wouldnt only allow 6...so I went shopping ;) We are going out this weekend for Bass. The lake we are on is a private lake, so its mainly for boating. But a few miles away is one of the top fishing lakes in Texas! We have every kind of lure & pole known to mankind & we are bound & determined to catch something!!! Got any secrets???
