The Ice Age ending and caused the ice to melt, now we're in a glacial period, which we've had before. All of which can melt all the ice like it has before or cover most of the planet in ice, as it has before - without an ice age. Less ice equals more co2, methane, and pesky things like water vapor and it means more sun hitting the oceans warming things up even more. Which creates a huge chain reaction. Of course it has been a great deal warmer before than what it is today... guess we did did that too. Which means we have had much more of these deadly gases we live on each day floating around. It's odd though how rain, oceans, dirt, storms, plants, rocks and lots of shit filter it out. It's almost like mother nature has had to deal with this before without killing everything on the planet.
