You have to remember that the bible-thumpers don't care what they do to the earth. They figure that once the rapture happens, it won't matter anymore, so if they destroy the quality of the air and water to enrich themselves now, so be it. Gawd put the earth here for them to use as they see fit and who cares about damage done? They see animals in the same way - just here for their amusement.
