Think they called that Tangerine if I recall. Is it that almost pinkish orange color and black? My dads 56 Golden Hawk had the same pinkish tangerine color and white. Won 3 best of shows at the national studebaker meet. Had my body work and paint on it for the last trophy it won (was done originally in lacquer and as you know that eventually will start to crack, I redid it in base coat clear coat. The 55 Speedster president of mine was fully done by me other that interior work was sent out, and sent the engine out to be fully done. Needed bored etc which I didn't have the tools to do at the time. Frame off restore, frame done in an acid dip (sometimes we just get media blasting done, but this one was acid dip if I recall. Coated in por-15 so as its stored in around 73 degrees year round in climate controlled environment Ill probably end up giving it to one of my grand kids some day. lol
Tried to look at chip book listings from 55 but can't find the exact color name online, but pretty sure it was tangerine.
Well shit, now that I look closer I think what is on that car was the original color scheme that was on mine, but with it being all faded (on mine when I got it) I didn't realize it was the same. I went with the slightly off white color instead of the pinkish color. ;)
