People who want to pay nothing, or a few bucks for hosting and want superior everything are really going to find out with MOST (not all) hosting companies that simply you are getting what you pay for.

If you read a lot of WM forum, especially where a lot of people have DEDI. You will find most of the managed and DEDI customers almost never have a complaint. While virtual and shared sometimes will, or can be bad. I find thing on a lot of boards that almost polar opposite.

Should companies provide the same level of service for both? High end and pennies? Well, that is their call on how they plan to run their business. However, I have noticed that the higher end clients almost never complain about their web hosting company unless something goes terribly wrong. Where as those penny and couple of dollar folk are endlessly complaining.

Again, no offense meant to the O.P., I was simply making an observation.
I would have to disagree.

If someone was to come to you to buy one of your services for less money then someone else would you treat the two people different? This is not good business.

There are many many many BIG hosts out there who have cheap virtual hosting because they know there is money in it. They all have 24/7 ticket/phone/email support. I have about 5 of these accounts for blogging.

The hosts on this board are not the only hosts around. There are many more out there that are very good that have big datacenters, that dont rent rackspace that have professional support and cheap hosting. and they treat every customer the same.

To pay more for better service within the same company to me is just bad service. I have customers that spend 10k a year with me and some that spend 200k. I treat them all the same. You never know who they know and who they will refer to you for business. I may pay 70 dollars a year for hosting but what if my cousin runs Match.com and is looking for a place to put 200 servers.

Anyone selling any service or goods should treat every customer the same way. This is business 101.

Also, the OP was jumped on through speculation of what account he had. Hosthead doesn't only have 4 dollars virtual accounts.
