Can you really generalize like this? That's like one of us asking "Should you date asshole pervert webmasters?" Lol...
My partner Joe is a webmaster/photographer and we've been together 4 years with no bullshit. And yeah, he's an actually photographer -- not just mine, but has spent most of his career in the biz shooting other chicks, usually right here in our home. Again, with no bullshit.
We live together, we work together and we just got him over cancer together. It comes down to who's in the relationship and who isn't.
