The girl who ran that site isn't an aquaintence of mine but is a friend of a friend. I caught up with him a few months ago when he moved back to FL and he told me about how she got thrashed in a similar fashion- site hacked, accounts drained, etc.
One of those stories that makes you realize how souless people can be.
