Hi, you can always contact us through our helpdesk, we don't use GFY for support. ;-)
We don't write the scripts, sometimes that's just how they need to be set for certain functions to work. We have been in the hosting business for over a decade with 1000's of Wordpress sites running on our network. If you would like to discuss this further with a tech please feel free to contact us with your specific concerns. Some hosts use suphp to allow this, and the client just thinks "hey, it works at HostG****" but then all of your files are vulnerable.
