Since all my scripts were running fine on my dedicated server (different provider) set as 755 (and some set less) I was confused when they had issues on my new Amerinoc reseller plan. I naturally assumed I was the one screwing up some setting(s) somewhere.
It took quite a few hours of messing around before finally coming to the conclusion it was not an issue I created which is when I submitted a support ticket. Wish I had known about this from the outset as it sucked up a good part of a beautiful Sunday

After a little research I found this to be true and decided to stay at Amerinoc since A) the server speed has been great so far (

) and B) their tech support were quick to try to help (

) -- even though the only "solutions" were running things as 777 or accepting the loss of certain functions.
