The puppies in that video are not newborns. I know that caption under the photo in the "Grandma Found Puppies" article says they are a few days old, but there's no fucking way. The ones in those pictures, at least, have their eyes open, and puppies eyes don't open until around the two week mark. I only watched the video once and can't remember if their eyes were open or not, or if you could even tell, but I don't want to watch it again to see. But, even the size of the puppies, and the way they squirmed when she picked them up assures me that the ones in the video were not newborns, either. I don't believe this was a part of the "Older village" custom. These people had the puppies for awhile before they decided they to toss them in the river.
