Oh come on, he was driving home the fact that the guy was only short $100 so therefore he was living paycheck to paycheck. Pointing something like that out is sort of like pointing out that a man has a penis. The guy KNOWS he is $100 short, but everyone has to point out that he should have more money, that maybe he should not have gone on vacation blah blah. In a perfect world everyone would have at least 2 years salary banked for emergencies. Sadly this isn't a perfect world, shit happens. It is what you do when things go wrong that defines who a person is and the stuff they are made of. No one knows what happens next in life...you may have 2 years of wages saved up and BAM, terrible accident, insurance doesn't cover it all and your entire savings is wiped out, what's more, you can't work.
So maybe everyone should stop trying to make those affected by the epass situation feel worse by telling them they should have prepared better and maybe have a little empathy for them knowing, that one day, their turn will come and hopefully people will be sympathetic to their plight. I could never figure out what people got out of kicking people when they are down.
