Plus, a lot of the thefts are gang initiations. Last I checked, and I could be wrong, there isn't a high gang population where affluent white kids go to school.
So there is your answer. I'm not saying that it doesn't suck for people who live in areas where the average income is next to nothing, but that's how it is. Little can be done aside from educating these kids that stealing cars will get you in a lot of trouble. But that's a side effect of "keeping it real" I suppose :/
