Juicy, you just reminded me of Chenoy's. I used to work in Montreal all the time, and we'd always stop at Chenoy's on the way home.
There was a bar we played at regularly in Pointe Claire that was not far from Chenoy's. Great place - a little rough - the name... it was The Pioneer! Fucking placed kicked ass. Haven't been there in well over a decade.
I talked to the owner of Chenoy's once and he told me he had plans to open a restaurant in Toronto, but I guess it never happened. Nothing fuelled the fire and facillitated an early morning Montreal - Toronto drive like a bowl of Chenoy's Motza Ball soup.
