this thing affects some regions more than others, and some demographics more than others.

the economy has shed millions of jobs, and many of those job categories are probably going to be much reduced in the future. we simply have no use for the old labor force in a free trade multinational economy.

its hard to imagine we will need as many residential home builders for some time to come. there are, what, lets say 8 to 10 million people, 50% of those who were downsized, who will probably never work at as high a wage as before the crash again. we don't have anything we need them to do.

if you are in a region that is less affected, like I am, you were just in part of the economy that didn't get quite so fucked.

the pr0n biz is suffering, thats for sure.
