I think it is quite disturbing for anyone to kill anything in that manner, but I also think Angry Jew Cat has a valid point about hunting. It serves a purpose, especially in this case with alligators... If they don't have people taking them out regularly they will wander from their habitats and become more aggressive because of lack of food. Would you want your children playing out in a neighbourhood that has hungry outplaced gators in it? I wouldn't...
I don't hunt, I love fishing but I always release, eating hunted food has never been a necessity to me so it's not in my nature, despite that, I don't judge others for being different. If nobody killed any animals ever we would all starve, i'm sure of it.
