um.. when is the last time you were at Bourbon St? That's exactly the club I was talking about but you have some info waaaay wrong.
They charge a $10 cover regardless of who you are, everyone pays. The floor dances are $10, vip are $20.
The beers are definitely not two dollars. I think they're $4.75 or $5.25 for domestic bottles. Can't remember if they do draft or not. Otherwise the drinks are not cheap in general.
The atmosphere is nice but I've gone with friends that had to spend WAY more than they wanted to just to get attention.
I am friends with one of the DJ's, a couple of the doormen and a handful of the dancers that work there.
I think it's the best club in the Valley but the girls from there still make trips to dance in Vegas once in awhile.
*Edit* the popcorn thing is done at a few clubs - it makes you drink more. So it's "nice" but there's a reason behind it. We put a popcorn machine in Babydoll's when I worked there and it definitely increased bar sales.
