Blah, blah. All hype. It doesn't take a genious OR research to simply HEAR the fact that SHE CAN'T SING, and doesn't have any natural pitch or decent vocal range.
Maybe she could sing when she was 10, in church, but now, I'm sorry, but if she was on American Idol she would've easily been cut.
Singing live is singing. There is no excuse. Real singers can sing on the drop of a dime. She was pitchy, out of tune, had no control, sang out of her throat. Even Madonna in her early years sang better and Madonna was more of a "Mick Jagger" type of singer.. ie; performance artist w/vocals tossed in. Katy Perry can't sing, can't dance and just struts around the stage like she did when she was 10 years old in front of a mirror when her daddy walked in and said "you are so talented!!!" Now, we have the adult version of that horrific childhood scene.
