Not got a problem with you putting people who are trolling you on ignore but I do think using ignore is the equivalent of someone just sticking their fingers in their ears and going lalala when they feel as if they are losing an argument - and in this case I don't really see why it should be turning into an argument.

I don't think people's ideas are worthless. I don't think yours are worthless for instance.
But go back and read what those people whom I put on ignore said in that thread. There were no ideas being given. They are just looking to argue for the sake of argument. Not one of them has any idea what they are talking about, and not one of them had any ideas to share...they were simply wanting to insult people because they think they are so clever.
And I don't tell people that everything they say is worthless because they don't own a paysite. If I were discussing traffic with other affiliates who have tgps or tubes or blogs I wouldn't even want the discussion to concern content or paysites.
But when the subject at hand has everything to do with owning a paysite and/or content and in my case things that I shoot, edit, update, etc. (a work of love if you will) then what other criteria can there possibly be?
Yes, I have heard over and over how mainstream did this or mainstream did that. And I've given it all careful consideration. I'm in this to make money after all so I'm not going to turn away from any ideas that might make a dollar or two.
But in the end...I have to use my own experience and knowledge of THIS business to understand what will and won't work. And that includes me personally making a shit ton of mistakes over the years that I have learned hard lessons from.
Believe me...those guys in that thread have all been total jerks to me on this forum for a long time. None of them have anything of value to add. None of them have my respect or admiration for anything that they have accomplished. Matter of fact I'd be hard pressed to name anything that they have ever done.
Not that it matters...but if they are going to try and talk down to me it's a joke.
You know what I mean. When you spend years developing skill sets and gaining proficiency at things, the last thing you want is some poindexter looking over you shoulder trying to tell you how to do it.
So let's get back to the subject. This ain't about me. Or those clowns.
And I appreciate your opinions and thoughts. And your ability to have intelligent discourse about something that is damn serious. We all love to clown and bust balls...but this is dead serious. And no room for the clowns of GFY with their shenanigans.
