pretty much hit it right there...
maybe to relieve some arguments in the future we should stop calling it stealing (they are not depriving the owner of the original) or piracy ('cause the kids think that is cool) and call it what it is... counterfeiting - cause that is what it really is - and it is a crime - to do it - to distribute it - to be in posession of it.
someone should try that out in court
