Just a quick note... We didn't "Close down" our program and burn affiliates like so many site owners do. We don't skim sales and rip people off like so many program owners do.
We have solid 3rd party billing and all our affiliates ALWAYS get paid on time. That is really what this is all about, getting paid.
Come on, how many sites have stolen people's money & shut down over night. We are just trying to survive. Sure we are not perfect but we are working hard to keep sales in our affiliates pockets every year, not just this month.
How many sites go bottom up the first 6 month to 1 year? Like 95% of them?
We are still here, making money for our affiliates. Please don't condem us because of our over promoting rules. It's hard to enforce small rules. We sent emails out to our affiliates, but only a FEW were over posting. That's all. Not a huge ordeal.
So when we get ignored, we simply suspend a few accounts to "shake things up" and get them to make the needed corrections. It's not fair to our affiliates that are promoting correctly that some affiliates can ignore the rules and damage other affiliates future sales.
In regards to public board posting of affiiate links, ie: peachyforum, et al, we are working as well to have them remove the posts. We are not suspending accounts simply because they are in peachy forum. However, we do ask that the affiliate to alter the url with a re direct if the link can not be removed. It's a small bit of effort to ensure long term sales of some very hot content, which all of our affiliates benefit from by selling.
Thank you for reading and understanding our side of the situation.
I know many site owners understand the problems of over promotion. Our affiliates will make more sales in the long run by not over promoting... and that's what it's all about. Making some $$$ to pay the bills.
