The best way to motivate affiliates is to run a good program which pays a respectable share and converts consistently year round. We're not stupid.
I'm much happier about a program say removing a traffic leak or tracking problem or even increasing cookie lengths then I am about some promotion only a few will win or some short term payout increase. These are things that make me more likely to push traffic to you.
