i love both shows, being a hardcore simpsons fan i'd say the older simpsons episodes are better than family guy but the new ones, just aren't that great. family guy was more offensive, more out there, more willing to take risks than the simpsons ever where, and the pop culture references are the best. there are times i prefer family guy over the simpsons and vise versa.
