He could have easily have avoided all this hate if he had communicated far better and constantly.. It's real easy to keep people calm, but he let it build up in a vacuum. All that stress and worry has no where else to go except back at him. While the events that triggered this may not have been his fault, the backlash is completely his... For all that, he deserves what he gets now regardless...
The fact is, his lack of communications displays a disdain for all his customers... What happened when the auto CEOs showed up in their jets? What happened to the BP CEO when he made stupid comments and was off having some fun during the spill? The lessons are there but apparently if you hav a big ego, you don't see or learn them.
