That is way a way over simplification of the story. After the death of Brian Epstein, the band lost their focused leader who was really the glue. During the recording of "Let it Be" Harrison was so pissed at Lennon and McCartney that he left and had to be cajolled into coming back after a week or so. I believe that had Epstein lived they may have lasted a few more years but ater the run they had it was only a matter of time before they said Fuck it.
