in theory it sounds good , in reality no different than any bank. Obviously the gov has some push but visa is a biz , they just follow the rules.

no more than any bank. US based sites report your income to the irs anyways, regardless of how you recieve it. so having epassporte doesn't help one iota, NON-us based companies pre-epassporte would simply send you a check , you deposit in bank.
Not that your theory is completely bunk, i think the real reason has a bit of everything.
st kitts mad because epass started using the wallet to cut out st kitts
st kitts mad because epass "perhaps" started draining stagnant accounts ( remember how epass started x cross-sales )
st kitts mad because epass can use programming to bypass visa reg's/irs/terrorism
everything usually boils down to money or sex and someone isn't getting one of those. Sex isn't an issue here so that leaves money. Someone wasn't getting enough money. Visa was getting their cut, epass was getting their cut, st kitts was slowly losing their cut..
