Yeah they tested her for heartworms. They did a bunch of tests! Temp was ok, blood was ok, urine ok, ultrasound ok, no sign of anything although with the parasites they don't always find evidence of them depending on the cycle they are in. Unfortunately down here with the warm moist ground there are tons of parasites and it is a common thing they treat them for. I did correct him though, he said "she had parasites" I said "you guys didn't find any parasites" and he said "well she has a history of parasites" because we did take her there in 2007 and she was treated and recovered from what we figured must have been parasites when she was like 8 months old.
Should I follow up on this though? I really don't know what to do or have the energy to go at the vet. Already spent $500 and really don't want to just take her somewhere else for the same shit. I just think about all the unwanted pets out there and how far that money would go helping other animals, its fucking crazy. We are almost $800 into this and no clue what is going on, or if the dog will survive or have physical damage now from this seizure. ooohhh man I hate this. Got like 4 hours to wait still.

Sounds like he did a lot of testing then and he was not 100% wrong to give the meds to her given the fact she has been exposed to fleas and has prior history of parasitic infestation. What I feel is irresponsible is him not treating this as an adverse reaction.
In any case, take a deep breath. There is a good chance that she will come through this ok. Stay positive and focused on her getting better. Once she is out from under the sedative then you can pick what route to take next.
Hang in there and keep us updated!
