Boy do vets love to trot out those heartworm medications, especially when they're standing around stratching their heads because they've done all the tests and still can't figure out what's wrong. Been there, done that. And they always say "It's just a precaution"

Meaning: "All the tests were negative but I'll still give your dog this medicine for something at this point all indications show he doesn't have"
I always took the heartworm meds from the vet and said that I will give them to my dog when we get home. Which I did, but after the first time, never again. But then they argue that it's also a preventative measure. Sure, but if it puts your dog in seizure mode I'd say better to look for another treatment, maybe a natural one like week's is suggesting, than risk going with the advise of a vet who is basically stumped on what's wrong.

Good luck with the pooch Chula.
