Damn, here I am crying because I saw a picture of someone else's dog and I can't even help my own to stay alive. Buddy looks like Scruffy when Scruffy was a pup, but Scruffy's brown and black. Beautiful boy.
He's got cancer, and he probably won't live to see the spring.
I wish you, Goodgirl, and Buddy all the best. Scruffy is on his last legs and its killing me.
Here's Scruffy one month ago. Beautiful boy doesn't understand the concept of cancer and death, yet he never cries and he loves the smaller dogs we have here. Just a perfect friend.
The dog in the background is Sparky - my Puddin' Pup Jack Russel. I also have a Chihuahua / Fox Terrier mix and a lunatic Beagle / Jack Russel mix. And two cats

I am really sorry to hear about Scruffy. I screwed up on our road trip last April and thought that I had lost Buddy in Indiana. I was pretty messed up for a couple hours. I do not look forward to the time when I have to put him down.
Scruffy looks really happy and that is really all we have, memories. BTW, would you believe Buddy is not a border but rather a golden/aussie mix?
