For the record, I'm black and I can understand from a Caribbean and African perspective that issues with immigrants often have little to do with their color and more to do with cultural norms, belief systems and the false sense of entitlement that some immigrants possess.

Adding color into the mix is simply a way to complicate the matter or is used by the more liberal-minded as a way to shut down the conversation. No one wants to be branded as a racist, so the minute that race comes up in regards to immigration many people simply shut up and swallow their concerns.

We have to get past that. Global immigration is a growing challenge for many nations. It is quite ironic that people who move to another country tend to be more outspoken in that foreign country than they ever would be back in their home state.

I always wonder why didn't they use that same voice to make their life better in the country they originally came from.


you said it as in being outspoken in their newly adopted country, they want to convert it to the very same oppressive rule they whined about and ran away from....why?...
