It had zero potential to be useful in the first place. Sometimes the only way to get that point across is to abuse the living fuck out of it.
The thing I don't get is how opposed GFY higher ups seem to be with implementing iTrader, claiming it will get abused like hell, then they bring Rep in. Great. At least with iTrader you can view a transaction history, see what threads the transactions were made on, and gauge a reasonable expectation based upon who that user has worked with and their feedback.
It's not a perfect system, but at least it holds some purpose. Unlike reputation..
