Thanks for the input and pics. We actually drove all over Morocco as well a couple of years ago. We did Essaouira, Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou and Merzouga. It was fantastic as well and very affordable. Driving was fucking insane in Marrakech, but other than that it was no problem. I always prefer to rent a car if possible.
