actually the article says he was found guilty. The article should read " islamic court rules it is illegal to beat your wife "
While i understand the overall law is unjust ( beating is ok just leave no marks ), you cloud your point by misinforming.
This would be like islamic media saying "christian courts rule it is ok to kill your wife" because someone tried using it in court and lost. There are laws that permit killing under certain circumstances. Doesn't mean A) christians support it, or B) it always works
