I've never understood the whole "if you want great support you need to go dedicated" bullshit.
I'm with Naked Hosting and the support was just as great as a virtual customer as it is now that I only use dedicated. The only difference between the virtual and dedicated support is that virtual did not include script installs but they'd happily do it for $25. With dedicated, everything from A to Z is taken care of.
Tickets are responded to within minutes and they have live and phone support as well.
A customer is a customer is a customer and they should be treated the same no matter what. That shitty little virtual customer today could easily be a big customer tomorrow.
I'd never give a hosting company more money in exchange for better support. I expect the best support ... always. Naked Hosting has always provided that which is why I will not stray.
I also recommend Reflected, who we use for a network I'm a partner in and Mojo, who I've referred a client to so that he could get the ElevatedX package deal.
