I'm far from an advocate for godaddy, but those two examples you quoted are not convincing, (neither is half the stuff that is on Nodaddy).

The 1st example is a case of carelessness because Godaddy not only notifies you (while signing up) of the importance of having correct whois info, they email you the information you signed up with AFTER the order process. Then randomly through the year, they will send you another notification regarding correct Whois info.

And the second example is a matter of a person in the business of affiliate marketing who clearly is unprepared for the legal ramifications of such a business. Who in their right mind has NO contact info for their affiliates?
That is not Godaddy's issue and it sounds a bit suspect.

A lot of those nodaddy examples, from the ones that I read through every time something like this comes up, are merely instances of people not reading, ignoring email messages or not taking the time to familiarize themselves with the GD interface. Too many people are playing webmaster and GD (nor any other registrar) should have to babysit them though the entire process.

I used to listen to the anti-GD crowd, but I've had small time domains with them for years with no issues. Incompetence is pervasive in modern day society, and some people just want an excuse to complain. I use multiple registrars and will never put all my eggs in one basket.
