You need a fax, assuming you are actually a business and not a hobbyist. Although I suppose you could pay monthly for one of those software fax dealios if you like.

Some prefer talking on a hard line for business deals versus some static filled, fade in and out, cell phone? Nothing irritates me more than a phone cutting in and out.

Those are just a few examples I can think of off the top of my head.
Voip is not a cellphone, and has none of the issues or limitations you mentioned... champ.
