Your lives will never be the same, especially your sleeping habits, but it will be worth it many times over as I am sure you already know.
This is my first child, and I am pretty new in this, but I am a light sleeper and have no problems waking up when my son needs me. I hope mom will get more rest since she is soon at home and I can support her. I am very good with kids, 17 years ago I had a work project with new born babies, and I learned the basics there a little. I hope they come in handy

WOW, congratulations to you also! Here they keep mom and son 4-5 days after C-section normally, but our son was 1 week to early, so they did not take any risks, i was not even permitted to hold him in my arms, risk for bacterias and stuff. I understood, but felt bad. Again congratulations to your partner, and best wishes for your family

I moved to South Romania, bought a old farm there, and renovated it. I am in a very peaceful valley where social interaction is very needed, there is nothing here like in the cities, so people depend on each other. When you fuck up here, you can better move away, cause life is not so generous anymore.
My wife is a doctor and since we moved to here she is helping people here for free. I think she is for some people very important in a professional way, and I encouraged my wife to stay social and not commercial.

That she can call up everyone and pass on a wish list is something that is new to me. But i think she knows how to socialize better then I do.
I am just a simple minded worker with a limited imagination for social live.

On the other hand, when someone dies here in this valley, we all suffer as a group/community and say good bey on a traditional way. A long ceremonial dinner, a parade in the street with music and the deceased person on the back of a car saying good bey to the whole valley.

Everyone knows everyone here. A social network tighter then Facebook

I can write a book soon about living here. So much more different then Good Old Holland.

Thanks again everyone for the wishes!
