A skewed lie.... 100% of the legal workers pay income tax, just 50% get money back because of many reasons.
Why not research a relevant number, like the % of people that don't pay income tax, that didn't lose a job during that period, thus them needing help... ie, find those that work that earn in the lower income brackets - what % of the real working poor get away with zero taxes. That's a relevant number but that is not the number you preach.
We would need to exclude people that got away with no taxes due to crafty investments, donations, business practices, some medical costs, first time home buyers on lower incomes, school loans, solar/alt energy benefits, the car buy back program, day care costs, child deductions and I'm sure many other things... all of which can make even someone that earns $80k+ a year get major refunds. Damn sure not on the poor end of the scale.
