It's no different than what AOL used to be, except you can actually go other places.
Most people have no use for the internet. The internet has information. Most people are content to be ignorant.
If they get more input they might have to make decisions, and that scares the shit out of them. They can't even figure out what they want from KFC much less what they want from life.
