If people think they are getting "closer" to the porn they like by joining, they will join and do so happily. That's not just porn, that's true for just about anything people pay for.

It starts with good content, but doesn't end there.

The reason most members areas suck is because they feel like ghost towns. There is content but nobody seems to be running it. When people pay to get in, they want to actually "get in" to something.

It's not just access to content.
