The most shinning difference between the two is character development. Very quickly in Band of Brothers did I find myself attached to the lives of the characters, especially knowing they were based off of real people. The Pacific was pure chaos, hardly any character survives past a single episode, the ones that do portray a sense of despair so great it makes it difficult to want to watch the next episode.

I enjoyed both and highly recommend picking up the Blue-Ray format found on Amazon, a perfect gift on this Remembrance Day.

Great summing up. Both series were great. Never got Pacific in the beginning, on watching it again I understood it more. It must of been sheer hell.
