I wonder if this launch is related to this story:

There was a fire reported on board a Carnival cruise ship off the coast of California near San Diego, and the Nuclear Power USS Ronald Reagan Aircraft carrier (armed), along with Helicopters, is bringing supplies to the cruise liner and escorting it back to shore.

I'm no conspiracy nut but this is kind of interesting..
