Very true, people here are not generally known for their brains or indepth knowledge of international politics. Nevertheless, this is a huge step, for whatever reason the military regime now release her. Hopefully she will be able to remain free this time.

Phone systems are actually quite easy to take down. They simply aren't designed to accomodate everyone with a phone to use it all at the same time. It differs from country to country and from rural areas to urban, but it's based on highly classified statsitics and probabilities on how big you build the phone system. Say if 100 people have a phone, it might be built to accomodate 40 simulataneus calls, so a few wil not be able to get a tone to call out or receive calls. There is over capacity in most phone systems today and the mobile networks work a little differently. Point being, basically the principle applies, that everybody with a phone, in any country, can not ALL use them at the same time, because there simply isn't capacity to accomodate that.
