Hey.
an over due update.
We got fucked pretty bad by all of this. First with epass closing down. Not only because of the money lost, but also because we lost a payment option which in turn reduced our ability to get new advertisers and new campaigns, and be able to pay out via epass to publishers.
Then we got completely wiped out on all our servers, and it took almost two weeks before we got any clear info on what the status was on the plugrush servers and data.
Getting it back up and running isn't as easy as it might sound. We had a whole network of sites plus plugsubmitter to also restore, 17 servers total that got wiped and needed individual configuring and restoring.
The amount of work we had to put in, and still need to put in to get things back up and running like before is overwhelming. We are only two people here with the knowledge of the systems, with the ability to restore anything. Not only because it took a lot of time for rcn to restore things, but also because the complexity of the plugrush system and server setup.
To top it off, like some have mentioned, we're also getting sued by facebook, actually on the same day rcn broke down. Which brings a whole lot of stuff to deal with as well.
Our plan moving forward, is to get PlugRush back up and running, and we do intend to pay everyone what they are owed in the plugrush system.
We also want to get new payment options implemented, and at least want to get paxum working.
We feel it still has great potential, and we see a lot of people are still interested in it, even after all of this.
Unfortunately, at the moment we can't give an exact estimate of the time it will take to get the system up and running though, but it is one of our priorities now. It will take time to get it back, and it will take time to get traffic flowing through the network again.
I'm sorry for the lack of communication, we should have been better with that. It's mostly due to the uncertainty of things, and not wanting to post news unless it's good news.
This is by far the worst couple of months we've had since starting in this industry. When it rains it pours.
