There are some hidden variables on the designer shoes website. You may be right about the estimated per click but hard to believe.
First, any specific type of shoe is going to be extremely low search volume. However, if you have a nice site the person that clicks through is going to bookmark you an ungodly percentage of the time. Since the customer is woman and the theme is shopping it spreads in some non typical means (gossip on Facebook).
Also, the fact that you have relevant info on specific types of shoes helps your main domain rank for things for the better broad phrases.
I'd show you one crazy example but I heard through the grapevine that a (former?) GFY member owns it and I don't want to out them.
