another political thread, i apologize, but i have been watching the events after our 1.5 billion dollar G8/G20 party and things are becoming more and more disturbing.
in a nutshell, bunch of protestors are arrested without charge (or stupid charge), thrown in prisons that can only be described as chicken cages for 25 hours +, and still, today, are being harassed for practicing constitutional rights that all of us enjoy or will enjoy when push comes to shove.
http://www.thestar.com/news/article/...onal-challenge <- bail of $84,000
this is the example i was reading about today, but it lists something in it about a gentleman under the name of "Alex Hundert" who was arrested for violating bail conditions of 'not attending political rallies' or whatnot, by attending a
university panel discussion.
ok, these guys might be tin heads, sure, but isn't this a legal way to arrest university students? am i reaching?
