This season is definitely lackluster, but is finally picking up the last couple episodes. It's easy to ell they have new writers and with Chip Johanssen running the ship, he's in over his head and not near the producer that Clyde Phillips was. The show has always had it's share of plotholes and suspension of disbelief, but this season has been above the curve in those aspects. That being said, things I thought were sloppy writing (like Dexter really breaking out of his typical character) are starting to come together to pave the way for him to get caught. Next season should definitely be the last, either with him getting caught or spending time on the run.
